Story Progression needs to have sims up and about during the day to make any progress for inactives and if you run only it at night and since EA's SP only runs at night you'll end up having no Story Progression at all since Nraas SP turns off EA's

I've always seen boy/girlfriend as partners I don't think it's any mod you messed up. Technically partner would mean a steady committed relationship so boy/girlfriend could fall under the meaning but of course that's depends on ones own view.

Just t add to the above the only ghosts I've seen stay in the relationship panel are the Playable Ghosts those that are residents and live in their own house like the Salas family in Midnight Hollow and the Goth ghosts in Moonlight Falls

I've seen that it's usually best to have the baby and toddlers rooms and their toys on the ground or first floor at least that's how I solved it.
