I'd recommend putting the Wiki on GitHub, but due to a less user-friendly interface, that's better suited for release notes and technical docs, not the main wiki.

<t>As of how Windows 32bit APIs support 2144MB of Video RAM in addition to a little under 4GB of mapped physical RAM, it has to do with how video memory is handled. Most is handled indirectly through DMA, very little is directly mapped to the base 32bit address map and even that segment is paged in ...

<t>I've been experiencing Gamma issues. I've heard of Windows users experiencing the same problems, so it might be unrelated to Wine. I may look into solving this issue by changing the graphics system.<br/> <br/> I suspect that the issue with edge scrolling not working on windowed full screen may be...

<t>@igazor, I was just trying to explain what the card was. Basically explaining why it detects as a GTX. (Because essentially it's a strip model of the GTX to put it in laymans terms). .... I noted other users on Windows ran into issues in the darker color ranges as well. This is specifically due to the gamma behavior and accumulation buffer issue I mentioned.

<t>On video memory, unlike CPU memory Direct3D does not rely on flat mapping of the memory. Only if a program requests to specifically be able to read a page will it do so.<br/> <br/> If the program wants to write textures directly, these are placed in the reserved video memory space in the 0xC00000...

<t>As a note, if you a running a game installed from disk and expansions installed from Origin or the other way around, this creates an unusual. The game seems to try to use both DRM methods. (Thanks EA! *sarcastic*) This breaks NoCD. <br/> <br/> I recommend either sticking to disks and the superpat...
