Can you post your deviceconfig.log to make sure the game is recognizing your graphics card? Have you updated the drivers lately? Is this a steam/disc/EA install? Can you repair or refresh the files to make sure nothing is corrupt or missing?

Did you delete the 5 .package files so the game knows to reload your mods?

CCMagic moves the files from your downloads folder into a new folder in your CCMagic directory to clean up your downloads folder. It freaked me out the first time too, as I thought I lost everything.

I've seen this happen if you leave the "moveobjects on" cheat enabled. If not, then try a total town reset and see if that helps.
