EA won't do anything (read the EULA), there's no profit to gain for them on this game as they stopped the development. Reasons why resale is now done by Origin and I don't think they will spend much more resources then their last patch 1.69 to connect the game with their website-database.

Very challenging question :P

If the program is minimized in the tray, left-click on the icon in your tray is used to open the full program again. Right-Click can be used but usually gives a selection menu with other options (depending on the OS version).
