Could somebody remind me, since I'm getting senile and forgotten, which mod it is that will enable me to assign adresses to lots. I know I've done that before but can't remember what I did or what I used.

I like it! And it wouldn't be quite the same if it wasn't orange.

I did try resetting the lots, but nothing seemed to happen. But in view of what I've learned here I shall replace those lots anyway, just in case they are messed up.

Fortunately when I reloaded the game the hauntings had ended, and so far there have been no new incidents. Possibly it is just a glitch with my game, but I am going to use Nraas SP to put a hold on ghost hunting as a profession until I have worked out what is going on.
