Delayed CAS Notifs

Post by argent » March 1st, 2021, 10:51 am

Hello, not sure if this is something that's already been asked but I'm having issues with CAS notifications. Whenever using CAH (with Integration) or even the "Edit in CAS" interaction with Master Controller, I've noticed that notifications that should be showing up (like when I change filters or enable compact mode) do not show up at all in CAS itself and instead all begin to show up at once when I actually begin playing a household. This happens with all of the mod's notifications including the right-click that usually offers details on specific CAS parts. I have also been getting script error docs that when opened are actually completely blank which I think may have something to do with it??

Hi there. Would I be correct in assuming that you are attempting to get into CAH or MC's version of CAS immediately upon having started up the game? That's an issue if this is the case -- MC is a script mod and as such needs for there to have been a household selected and for the game clock to be moving forward smoothly before all of it fully takes hold. It would be best to select some random household to play for at least a few sim minutes, even if you have no interest in them or playing them forward any further, before attempting to use the MC versions of CAH and CAS. This does often take players by surprise, and especially so when starting a new game.

OH, I see. You're correct in that assumption. That explains why it worked with my existing saves and not my cc testing ones. Thank you so much!
