Can't Right-Click Custom Content Items

Post by Gargoyle Cat » October 20th, 2023, 3:02 pm

Hello,

I am trying to remove some custom content that came with some sims I downloaded. I have MC and MC Integration. From what I've read, this combo should allow me to see the instance number (?) for the items I want to remove. When I right-click on any of them items, nothing happens. Am I missing something? It seems simple enough / straightforward, but I must be doing something wrong.

If I right click on the 3 dots in the lower left corner of the CAS screen, everything on that screen comes up with no problem. I'm confused.

If the sim has the clothes attached you cannot hide it. I think only single clothe items installed work.

Never install custom sims as sims3pack via launcher (so you may need to deinstall, instead use delphis multi-extractor to extract it to package file, and yes then maybe more than one item will be extracted, open everyone with s3pe and look for the package with only the sim in it (sim SNAP picture).
Of yourse you can use the other clothes packages too, but now you can decide, which you wanna keep, place in your mods folder (or CCMagic)

The sims came in a package file with the cc attached. I wanted the instance numbers so I could remove the cc via S3PE rather than just hide it.

Ok, 2ith the 3 dots right click you mean, that MC options appear correctly?

And this is not generating a scripterror file with the instance information?
"RIGHT-CLICK the item you don't want a Sim to wear (Example 1.1). It will show the CAS details for the item and also create a ScriptError file in your Sims 3 user directory"

As far as I know MC options are loading correctly. This is what I see:

Upon looking into my user directory, I found the script errors. I was waiting for a pop-up window or something to show up while I was in CAS.

Unless something doesn't look right with the first part, I think it's all good now.

Thanks for the help.
