Help with resetting when taking screenshots

Post by Althestal » October 6th, 2023, 1:49 pm

Hi everyone!

I'm currently writing up a sims story and have been taking screenshots of almost everything that happens in my game! I'm using ReShade and also a few cheats to make the screenshots prettier, such as maptags off and hideheadlineeffects.

After a few sim days the sims tend to get a little glitchy like having them not be able to interact with objects suddenly and also floating in the air when they're on the floor above. This usually happens after 3 sim days while playing with those cheats. I save often so it hasn't been a real issue but I just wanted to know what would be the best way to approach these glitches?

I remember reading that you shouldn't do the MC Reset Everything that often but would it be good to reset in my case? Also any other precautions I can take with Nraas mods? Thanks so much! <3

This is actually caused by using moveobjects on sims. It's perfectly safe to reset them as much as you need. You can also use the soft reset in the console command where cheats are entered which is "resetsim Sim Name"

Ohhhh that would make sense! I use it a lot to move them into place for poses occasionally! Thanks for the tip and I'll reset them with no worries next time :)
