Only option when clicking on houses is Nraas

Post by RosiedogPhan » March 19th, 2023, 6:25 am

Hi! My issue is exactly what the title says - The only option that pops up when I click on any house in town is Nraas, is there a way to change this?
For example, to go trick or treating the game tells me to click on any occupied house in town and choose Trick or Treat - but it does not come up. Same as with the visit option, nowhere to be found.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thank you!

It sounds like the homes are "open," that is, your sim is already lot-greeted as if they had been invited inside. If you have HomeOpener installed, this is by design, as its name suggests. Otherwise, open the NRaas menu and select Close, and then the house will no longer be "open" and the regular menu will show up.

As a side note, it can lower performance quite a lot to have a number of homes open in the world because the game then needs to simulate all the sims on that lot rather than leaving them in hibernation.

1. Send your sim to the dedicated house you want to start and select hin/her as active
2. click the lot icon and use nraas -> MC -> Close
3. immediately, you need to click the lot tag again and now the option
"to go trick or treating" should be there.

If you want it easier, yes, then you need to uninstall Homeopener, at least for that season, I personally won't play without it, but my PC can handle it quiet good :)

the main problem with trick or treat is that
- you must make sure that someone is at home (you can send the sims home with MC beforehand)
- and especially the distance between the houses/lots are by default far too low, so if they are not very near you may can only visit one lot

With Retuner you can change the distance
default value is 4000 change it to 10000 or 15000
