Serious error while trying to load Oasis Landings
Hi all, I keep trying to get my sim on a save to travel to the future but I keep getting "a serious error has occurred". This only occurs when I try to travel to Oasis Landing. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? However, in another save, my sims can travel to the world just fine. So it's confusing to me, I don't really know what the issue is.

Has any sim ever been to Oasis within the save where it won't load, or would this be the first visit for that game? Usually "a serious error" means that the world or some other files within that game save are locked or stuck in use, and that can happen even if nothing is broken but the player has the game files open in Windows while the loading is attempted. But there could be another cause.

I originally tried with a Sim who hasn't been there before, got the serious error. So the answer to my question would be yes, Oasis Landing has been visited in the past within this ongoing game?
On a test copy save that can be deleted if this causes more problems than it solves, my suggestion would be to look for the Oasis Landing nhd file within that save (in your TS3 user game folder in Documents where the saves are) and delete it. Then try loading up that test copy save to see if you can travel to Oasis as if your sims have never been there before.

In an otherwise perfect world, yes. But any sims or progress made in the original visit(s) to Oasis within that test game will be gone. Oasis should load as a new, never before been played world, if you can get it to work this way.
