I need some help here... I need to select "Homeworld" in the sim selection criteria list (not sure what's the official name sorry!) however it's either missing or mistranslated
I've managed to pull up homeworld selection somehow before (I've also gone through all of them!) but my game crashed before I could save it :'[
I couldn't find the localization pages to pt-BR so I think removing the translation from the .package would force it to load in English?
I downloaded Packer and I was able to see the localization files, but not open or edit them (I'm a little confused, sorry)
edit to add full list:
Is there any way to remove localization from a package file?

It's "Todos".
If you open MC with packer, you can click Strings PortugueseBrazilian and then click the lower text box. Hit Ctrl-A then Ctrl-C. Open notepad, Ctrl-V and then search for 'homeworld'. Change Todos to what it should be. Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C then Ctrl-V back in Packer. Save and you're done. You can translate anything this way - just make sure your text remains between the <STR></STR> tag and you don't touch the KEY at all.

Oh I'll have a ball, I've been itching to butt in and tweak some words here and there for a while
I see the latest edit to Update History Other was in 2017, can I still add my translation files to that page? I ask just because idk much abt websites and I know you've changed providers recently and maybe my editing the page could disturb something backend or something!

It's not used anymore. We haven't had many translations due to the mods being stable and development being minor maintenance for a while so I haven't put time into improving the translation process here. The method at this time is to provide labeled txt file's of the full translation when you're done and they will get rolled into the mods when a stable version is released (although I appreciate that's been years now nevertheless mods in testing will be moved over when I have time and plans for those versions are final).Mars-isotopes wrote: ↑September 30th, 2022, 10:20 amI see the latest edit to Update History Other was in 2017, can I still add my translation files to that page? a small update- now that I'm back home i was able to work on this
I'll keep working on this with the help of some friends and I'll do some play testing to see if everything makes sense
I'll try and upload both the .txt and .package somewhere (and link it here)

Sometimes "Todos" leads to Homeworld, and sometimes to "All".
I followed this:
- Hit Ctrl-A then Ctrl-C. Open notepad, Ctrl-V and then search for 'homeworld'. Change Todos to what it should be. Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C then Ctrl-V back in Packer. Save and you're done.
I'm not too sure why its going wrong
-- edit, sometimes instead of a homeworld list, this appears:
seems to be separating sims created in CAS from the ones born in the world
(floor>mc>invite or sim>nraas>mc>house>invite/todos)=
and here is sim>basic>invite>"todos"=

It appears to be leading to the same menu to me so I'm not sure I'm following. The options available will change based on the execution context of what you clicked on.

okay, I see there is a multiple selection criteria list, a menu criteria list, and that usercreated/world list.
These aren't what I edited them to, they should be different strings but still show up as "todos"
I don't know what else to do here, I've already changed the text file, pasted to packer and saved but i can't get the changes to appear ingame.
The edited file on the bottom and on top is what appears ingame
version and usernames are different

The bottom is from Portuguese Standard, your game is in Portuguese Brazilian.

You're right, DragoNuno and Ocorreira translated the Cheats Module to Brazilian Portuguese. Sorry for my confusion, I previously thought the modules and base mod had the same translators.Chain_Reaction wrote: ↑November 16th, 2022, 6:31 amThe bottom is from Portuguese Standard, your game is in Portuguese Brazilian.
My edits still don't show up in game, however
edit: same goes for the module
