Hello! I just reinstalled Sims 3 and updated all the way to 1.67. I heard many nasty things about 1.69 so I didn't update all the way.
i've redownloaded Story Progression and Master Controller but they both just seem to be missing some options they had back then. I've gone to city hall > nraas > general options > options: friendships > options: celebrity but the option to configure celebrity point decay just isn't there. I've checked past threads and it should be there according to them. Likewise, master controller intermediate options nor advanced doesn't have the option to set celebrity stars or total annihilation or drop opponents for chess and martial arts.
Can anyone confirm with me why this is?

Hi there.
Several of the mods here come with a base mod and then some optional add-on modules that extend their base functionality.
The MC commands described require MC Cheats. The SP options on celebrity depreciation options require the SP Relationship module. The modules can be downloaded from the same page as the base mods, just scroll down a bit to see them.
The mods' Interactions pages indicate which commands/options require such modules more comprehensively.
MC: MasterController-Interactions
SP: This one isn't loading for me currently as I believe it is under (re)construction, but the old version of this page on the former Wikispaces site is available for reference on The Wayback Machine (let's see if I can get this link to work). The six SP modules that extend such options sets are SP Extra, Career, Money, Population, Relationship, and Skill, The others on the download page are the additional Personality modules.

Thanks for the reply but I have the cheats module and population, career and extra modules for story progression already installed. I'm having an issue where even when they're installed some options are still missing.

Did you get the out of memory error? That's due to it trying to rebuild the pages cache and it being so huge it falls over. Just keep laying on the refresh button till it works. I've done it for you so the cache is built and it'll stop doing that.
You probably have the mod disabled.sniper_zero wrote: ↑November 15th, 2018, 4:48 amThanks for the reply but I have the cheats module and population, career and extra modules for story progression already installed. Chain_Reaction - Yes I did eventually get it to load, thanks.
StoryProgression-Interactions
sniper_zero - Another reason you might not be seeing Celeb specific options is that possibly you have the Celebrity system shut down by way of EA's built-in Game Options? If others not related to celebs are still missing after Progression is enabled, can we get some examples that match the SP add-ons that you do have? Not the celeb ones, again unless you add in the SP Relationship module.

Actually, I checked the link you gave me and redownloaded the relationship module and tried a new game.
SP works fine now! Thank you. However, MC still has some missing options even in a new game. I have the cheats module installed but there just seems to be some options really missing.
The link earlier says that total annihilation is in the base mod but my game isn't showing me that option.

You're right, Total Annihilation shouldn't require an add-on module. The command is not showing on MC > (Sim) > Advanced nor the other version on City Hall under MC > Town? If not, I would suggest downloading fresh copies of the MC base mod again plus any MC add-ons you do have, replace the ones in play, and clear (delete) the scriptCache.package file before starting up again. Does that make the missing TA commands return?
Also note that the current versions of MC are intended for Patch levels 1.66 and higher. Is your game on a current patch level?

I'm just about to test the base MC that I've reinstalled. But I've tried reinstalling and deleting a few times already and still to no avail.
My game is on 1.67 so there shouldn't be any problem on that end.

Just to clarify, if you have any MC add-on modules and one of them is outdated or was a "bad" download, it could be interfering. I would suggest removing them if you aren't going to redownload them.
That would include MC Cheats, but also Integration and Expanded Tattoo.

I tested it again and I found the rest of the missing interactions. I need to use MC from the town hall.
The Expanded Tattoo is probably the only that isn't up to date with the rest of the modules. The site only has v122 so I'll try one run the game again without Expanded Tattoo and see if I can access the rest of the interactions on just the sim.
