Mods do not work

Why won't that blasted mod show up in game? Hopefully we know!

Mods do not work

Hello, I need help. I followed all the instructions: downloaded the MasterController and Mover Mods, extracted the files, then moved the files to Mods - Packages folder in Sims 3.
The problem is that I already have a Mods folder with the following files in the Packages folder:
"nointromaxis.package" and "NRaas_NoCD.package".
When I try to move MasterController here, the game stops on the intro.
I tried to download and create a new mods folder (Mods2) with "NoBuildSparkles.package" and "nointro.package" files.
When I run the game with original Mods folder and Mods 2, the game runs and does not read the mods.
When I run the game with only Mods 2, the game doesn't start.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I tried a lot of things but nothing works...

1 - First, please abandon the idea of having a Mods2 folder. It's the Resource.cfg file that dictates where the game looks for package-based content upon startup, and unless you have customized this file it's not going to "know" anything about a folder called Mods2. And as you have seen, you cannot have two dueling Resource.cfg's in the same game folder.

2 - After adding MC and Mover into place, are you clearing (deleting) the scriptCache.package file on the top level of your user TS3 user game folder? This file needs to be deleted whenever the contents of Mods\Packages changes in ant way.

3 - Make sure you have not accidentally included the MC Progression add-in module. This one is meant to be a bridge between MC and the StoryProgression mod and will crash the game on startup every time if SP is not also present.

4- As you mentioned NoCD, I take it that this is a retail store disc install, using legitimate EA produced installation discs. Would that be correct or is your game from another source? What patch level is it on and have you run EA's SuperPatcher to ensure it is up to date on Patch 1.67?
