Hello
I have a problem with the StoryProgression mod, but not only with it - my game does not see any other mods.
Here are my specs and what I've tried to do so far:
- I play through the EA launcher
- game version: 1.69.43.024017
- in Documents - Electronic Arts - Sims 3 I created a Mods folder and a Packages folder inside it
- I put the Story Progression package file in the Packages folder but it doesn't work, I also tried separately with the NoIntro and MasterController mods but they don't work either
- I deleted the cache which is recommended in the guides:
CASPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package
socialCache.package
- I deleted the entire The Sims 3 folder from Documents and let the game create it again. There I created the Mods and Packages folder again
- DeviceCongig file shows current usage time
I have no other ideas what else I can do to make the mod work. I can also add that about 2-3 years ago I played Sims 3 with all its expansions on Steam account (I had purchased a key - temporary access to the account). Then I also installed StoryProgression mod and everything worked without any problems. After some time, I lost access to this account and decided to buy game in normal way. Unfortunately, I incorrectly deleted the Sims 3 folder 'manually - I clicked on it and Delete' instead of using Steam or the 'Add and Remove Programs' option - could this have spoiled the game/mods in some way?
Do you have any other advice on what I could do?
Best regards!

I may have misread your comment but I noticed you didn't mention having a Resource.cfg file in your mods folder? You only mention the mods folder itself and the package folder?
If that is correct you haven't got everything you need. This link has instructions on how to set up your mod folder and a zip you can download, the zip includes the Resource.cfg file that you'll need to get your game to recognise mods.
