This might be a stupid question but I like to keep up to date with the mods I use so that I use the latest version. I checked the update history page which said last update was 2018 for mastercontroller, version 134. However on the mastercontroller download under release notes it says that the latest version is 135. No dates though mentioned next to the release notes.

so I guess how would I know I’m using the latest version available. Especially if the update history page is not really tracking the updates. Or maybe I’m looking at it the wrong way somehow.

Click on "Update History Testing" (second link on the right) to get the latest versions.

As far as I know, all of the beta testing versions under Update History Testing are fine to use. Chain has his reasons for not fully releasing them yet. In some cases the holdback is just so that he can add more features to them before doing so, but that may take more time. Many players have been using them all regardless -- we haven't had a "bad" one recalled from that list in ages.

igazor, Oh I see! Thank you so much. Both of you! Just another follow up question then. So for example, when I download mastercontroller from the ”mod list” will it give me the latest official on (134) or the latest ”testing version” (135) since it is specified in the release notes in the mod list which is why I do wonder

The download button on the mod page will give you v134. I don't know why the Release Notes got ahead of things there, afraid Chain will have to answer that. Maybe he's planning a Grand Late Spring (or Autumn for those in the other hemisphere from us) Release Them All at Once event!
