Door Options

Post by Calista_Drake » September 4th, 2020, 11:16 pm

No, I didn't want to mess up the esthetics of any sets of single doors serving as double doors, so I set the ones coming out to one way, so sims wouldn't be able to get in free. But since they are only charged in one direction, I didn't make any of the doors with the fees added one way. So they could still come out the same door they went in, if they chose to.

And yes, even with the one way option on false for the one door that I locked to everyone except the proprietor, he still couldn't go inside. Even when I changed all the door options back to default and nobody had to pay, he still couldn't go inside. Nothing I did, short of removing and replacing the doors that had had the options applied, allowed the proprietor of that one venue to enter the building. Other sims were always able to go in and out freely regardless of how the options were set. And every other place with the door options applied, and there are a lot of them, including several others with sets of two single doors serving as a double door, with one going in and one coming out, works just as it should. The Port a Party Mini Warehouse is the only place where it doesn't.

Door Options

I played a quickie test in Starlight Shores. I set door options for all of the ST venues that had doors, other than the big show venues, of course, and let the game run. Later in the day, when all the venues were open, I checked, and all proprietors were in their venues. So apparently, it's only the port-a-party mini warehouse that has a problem with the door options. I wonder why?
