GoHere and Plantsim Flower Trails

The only skills code in that function is for teens homework skill. If you have no other mods related to skills I don't know why it'd be complaining about that. If it doesn't continue I suppose not worth worrying about.

Curious about the first error, do you have "Use Day Care Instead of Babysitters " set to true? Does the error stop if you set it to false?

Yeah, the first one was a one time thing, and I don't have any other skill mods, so I'm not sure what that was about. I checked and the babysitters only have KS skill and homework is unlocked at level 0. I mostly just posted it in case it had some relevant information that might show something about the regular caregiver error.

Now for more on the usual error (the first one), these are my settings:

Allow Active Day Care = True
Allow Babies/Toddlers To Be Home Alone = True
Hire Babysitters For Inactives = False
Use Day Care Instead of Babysitters = False

Just now, I tested several other combinations:

False
False
False
False

True
True
True
True

True
False
False
False

False
True
False
False

True
True
False
True

True
True
True
False

I got the same error for each one, so unfortunately this is probably not helpful to you. I didn't let the clock run forward more than 30 sim minutes between changing the settings and switching households, and maybe I should have. But the changes in settings seemed to be recognized immediately, because some of the combos popped up "do you want a babysitter or do you want to stay here" and others just automatically sent the babysitter.

(I know I didn't get all the combos, but I ran out of houses on the island.)

GoHere and Plantsim Flower Trails

Just wanted to note that I am very excited about the GoHere fix. I took GoHere out of my game years ago when I discovered it was messing with the Investigator profession quests and resetting the walkstyles of my ghosts and plantsims. As far as I know, the issue with the Investigator profession was fixed a long time ago while I was on hiatus, so it's down to just walkstyles. Woot!

I was just about to hire a babysitter for my poor parents with three toddlers. Does the caregiver error prevent babysitters from feeding toddlers?

No real issues at all from the caregiver error. The caregiver shows up and takes care of the baby/toddler as usual (i.e. some babysitters are better than others, but the babies/toddlers are at least fed and socialized). I just get one popup error the first time my sims leave the house (thus "calling" the babysitter), and then never again for that household. I'll get one for each household, in each world. No effect from what I can tell, and it's been a few generations (and several babysitters) in one of my worlds.

I kind of imagine that the game is mapping my town, so like, the first time the babysitter is sent, it's having to double-check the address, but once it knows the location, it doesn't have to do that anymore. (I'm sure this isn't what is actually happening, but that's what it feels like.)

Also, I should have mentioned this to Chain a while ago, but I never thought to test it by calling the babysitter through the phone. My sims always just leave and let the game send one. That might have been relevant during troubleshooting. Eek.

Oh, this is really helpful. Thanks!

My sims will likely call their sitter ahead of time, so I'll inadvertently test that.

Could you download the new version of 45a I just uploaded from the link in my previous post and see if the script error is fixed? I'm having some trouble reproducing it so I am throwing darts in the dark here.

I tested the new one in my "nraas only" game, with only Master Controller, Overwatch, Error Trap, and GoHere installed, and I got the same old caregiver error when the parents would leave the lot. It only happened the first time for each lot, same as before.

However, all along I've been testing using my usual method of "calling" the babysitter, which is letting the game automatically send one when the parents left. GoHere 44 didn't give me errors for it, so I didn't think of it as an unusual way to get a babysitter. I actually kind of forgot that calling for a sitter through "services" was the right way to do it until Echoweaver mentioned it.

In any case, I was curious so I tested a few households by calling for a babysitter using "call for services", and THAT works without the error. Even if my sims call the sitter and then leave immediately, before the sitter gets there, still no error. I'm sorry I didn't test this out before. Maybe at least this answers the question of why it hasn't been reproducible; probably most people have their sims call for services as usual. My sims are just so lazy, IDK about them sometimes...

I guess my sims will be learning how to be responsible parents. No more of this "leave and hope for the best" malarkey. :D

That's a good thought but actually the way I tested was just having the parents bail on the lot without calling. The babysitter arrived with no error as expected. I'm not sure where the disconnect is here. Can you provide me with the save that is erroring and the .world file if it's a custom one?

You're just wonderful. :) I'll find one of my vanilla-est saves to upload, probably this evening.

Unfortunately, this error is in every single save, in all EA and custom worlds that I've played since the GoHere update. That includes Sunset Valley, Appaloosa Plains, Moonlight Falls, Lucky Palms, and maybe Starlight Shores, as well as some custom worlds as well. I'm not 100% sure I tested in a world that has never seen any Nraas mods, but I'll check that out and if the brand new save is having that issue, I'll upload that as well.

I was pretty surprised that I saw the error with only MC, ET, OW, and GoHere installed, because I thought for sure that one of my settings for SP or something else was causing it.

Well, okay, I made the game as vanilla as I possibly could. I generated an all-new Documents file and added NOTHING back except for Error Trap, Overwatch, GoHere, and the MC base mod, plus "nointro". No store stuff, CC, library, worlds, and of course no other mods.

I started a brand new Sunset Valley save, left all of the Nraas mods at their default settings, and I still got the error (added below). I'm going to upload this save, since there are going to be less variables in testing a mostly vanilla game. If an older save would be better, let me know.
