Buffet Table Reset Glitch

Anytime I try to set the buffet table, my sim gets reset, the food doesn't get set, and he's sent back to his home. I have tried everything to fix the issue. Nothing short of creating a new family and starting from scratch fixes it. I have included the error log in an effort to get a fix. Any ideas as to what caused it and how to prevent it? This is the 2nd family that I have created that this happens to after playing for a long while. Is there anyway to fix the problem without wiping the family and starting from scratch?

A couple of your NRAAS mods are outdated, specifically Cupcake and MasterController and its Cheats module. Updating those seems like a good place to start.
Installing Overwatch may also help catch whatever it is that happened mid-save that broke this interaction.

Worth double checking the update status / requirements of anything else while you're at it, especially anything that might tweak food- including any fixes you may have for Store content. It just catches my attention that it may be related to the recipes it's trying to spawn.

I will also point out that the original uploaded script log (not displaying on this thread) shows that the player was using the Smoothness Patch 2,x with MC file, which we know is not actually compatible with NRaas mods. It seems they tried again after removing it and a bunch of other mods, but it's difficult to say what impact those mods may have had on the buffet table object.

I would suggest a test run with all mods removed except current versions of NRaas mods and try this again with a base game or EP buffet table, no special custom versions, no store content with potentially sketchy fixes applied. Is that any more stable? If so, then begin adding the mods from other sources back in as desired, again checking for updated versions along the way, to see if and when the problem shows up again and that might help determine what has been triggering it.

It was happening also before that mod was installed. I only installed that mod after the 4th of August. The 4th of August is when the first family had the same issue I mentioned.

I removed all previous mods the last time that this happened and it still happens with the vanilla game running.

Update: updating the mods &/or downloading Overwatch fixed the problem.

That said, is there something like the smoothness mod that will speed up CAS that is safe with these mods?

Many of us find that using MC's Compact View options help us get through our CAS sessions more efficiently. Some find that's not really enough help. There are so many variables in play though, including the amount of content CAS has to deal with, player expectations, and the strength of the players' systems.

Note that Compact View is only relevant when CAS and its subsets are entered into by way of an MC command, unless the MC Integration module is in play. Otherwise the player gets the EA version of CAS that won't recognize or honor MC CAS settings like these.

The problem with mods and other hacks that speed things up wholesale is that when things behind the scenes go too fast, game operations that the player cannot really see tend to happen out of their intended order, which can then lead to errors and corrupt sims/game saves. Smoothness 2,x without the CAS element is apparently a bit safer. V1 had less functionality, but generated far fewer player complaints (except for that extra spin it puts on items in Build/Buy, which tends to make some of us feel sick but that's apparently not very common either). We understand why Lazy Duchess targeted CAS with that element of v2, but it hasn't really turned out to be an overwhelming success for all players to say the least.
