My game keeps crashing at the start of a new family

Post by LordELk » October 9th, 2021, 2:57 pm

hello I recently downloaded the Nraas mods Error Trap, Master Controller, Story progression, Overwatch, Tempest, as well as a couple of other mods and my game keeps crashing as soon as I move my new family in, I choose a lot, build a 5 x 5 basement and add a ladder to it, I send one Sim down into the basement and then add the ladder to my family inventory (which I've been told shouldn't be possible) and as I do that the game crashes. I only have one error trap in my files which is this.

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

-<NRaas.ErrorTrap>

<ModVersion value="100"/>

<BuildVersion value="0.0.0.32"/>

<Installed value="BaseGame, EP1, EP2, EP4, EP5, EP7, EP8, EP11"/>

<Enumerator value="1"/>

Any help or pointers would be appreciated, if all else fails I may just start a fresh install.

The scripterror is just a routine correction log, nothing to worry about. Do you also get a crash if you start a new family without trapping a sim in the basement? Please try it just to see.

A fresh install of the game's program files is usually not necessary. A more helpful step is playing in a clean user folder, as in, moving the existing Sims 3 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and letting the game create a new one.
