UPDATE: I fired up the save #2 above, and it was about 9-10am or noon in the game. Ashley did not have any "activities" menu item at that time. I tagged Ashley on the map, and played with another household (I never made her household active, just want to underline that). I checked Ashley's MC menu every few hours and nothing changed.

When I started seeing SP notifications from other townies like "X now has to go to Y school", I checked on Ashley and the "activities" menu finally showed up just fine! It was 7pm in the game.

I guess for a few sims who were not enrolled in any school before MC-assigning them a school, it can take MC the whole sim day to "catch up" with these sims' MC settings changes.

Conclusion: V135 works on all townies!

Couple things:

One thing that causes activities menu to go missing is when they are on the world lot. Make sure they are on a lot when trying. This is by twallan design, I'm not sure why but I've learned he usually had a good reason.

Another is the close to aging thing is by EA design. It's using Sims3.Gameplay.Careers / AfterschoolActivity / kDaysBeforeAgingTrigger which is the number of days the Sim has till age up that a recital is triggered. If the Sim is due to age up in less days than that value, you'll get no choices in MC. You can adjust that with Retuner but I wouldn't make it any less than 1 or the recital won't trigger.

Ah ok, thanks for the tip! I do believe that it is what was happening with the Vidal bros. Ashley was also getting in a taxi, so technically off her home lot. Noted!

Very insightful. So far I could fix everything easily on a fresh EA world load, but if townies in my other saves give me headaches, I'll hit up Retuner for sure.
