Adjust Time For Sunrise

Post by brappl » May 12th, 2016, 11:27 pm

I did a search in our Members Tuning Files and can't find how/where to adjust the time for sunrise/sunset. I know I've changed it in the past but can't remember. Would someone be so kind and refresh my failing memory please..:)

This looks like it should be listed in the tuning files for others who want to know how to change the sunrise and sunset times.

Thank you namaradus.
Could someone help me with the settings in SeasonsManager. I do not understand how to adjust the offsets. I'd be happy with just sunrise 5:30 am and sunset 7:30 for now.
@Tad .. will do as soon as I figure out what I'm doing.

If you click on KFallSunriseSunsetOffset you'll get 2 options the first 0 is the sunrise the second 1 is the sunset so if the default time is 6 am for sunrise and 6 pm for sunset
To change it to say 7 am sunrise and 5 pm sunset then it would look like this
0. 1
1. -1
Each season has it's own offset

For a 5:30 sunrise and a 7:30 sunset then it would be like this
0. -.5
1. 1.5

Awesome, Thank You namaradus. Both your examples will work just fine. Curious though, how did arrive at those numbers?
I'd like to add this to our Tips page along with a little more detail for those who do not want the settings I am using. Thank you again :)

The game default sunrise is 6 am and sunset is 6 pm basically you just add/subtract the amount of time by decimals
.25= fifteen minutes
.5= half hour
1 = an hour
etc

Another question: Where each season has a setting .. For instance Spring is:
0 = 1
1 = -1.25
The number factors of 0 and 1 are opposite of the Fall example you provided. Do I still use the same combination with the 0 and 1 factors? For example Spring Do I set the:
0 factor currently 1 to -.5 and
1 factor currently -1.25 to 1.5
