How to properly give a Plumbot a human outfit?

For the ones who are still interested in making an android human plumbot, here is a perfect easy way:
post75377#p75377

I first tried Lal as a Teen one, but I would not recommend it, because the info that the plumbot needs to quit Retired career to attend "school" comes too often and is annoying.
So now I made LAL a Young Adult now.
To get a plumbot to start this - I added a homeless sim to my household, gave her the occult Plumbot via MC.
I reconnized that my final LAL is walking a little bit stiff - but this efffect is perfect for her, because in Star Trek she is also moving a bit stiff.

I have another android human plumbot, who was a real created plumbot Adult via the machine, I changed her the same way of the tutorial linked in the above mentioned thread, as an Adult and she walks normal.
F.i. This Adult android is a Daycare in my non active daycare house with a second daycare in it.

EDIT: As the plumbot has only ONE outfit - All Day - and a human sim has 6.
To find the right outfit in the 6 simo files:
- give the allday outfit either a Body one and all other top and bottom
- or the other wy round All Day top and bottom and the others all Body outfit.

This way you can locate the right outfit Simo file easier.

Hello! Possible necro, but generally, any time you alter a Plumbot's "clothing" or add hair, the Plumbot is technically broken with regards to using travel. Plumbots have parts, not clothes, and totally different UV mapping than "human" Sims, thus a separate CAS. I'm actually working on human appearing Plumbots that can travel and not become "human", but it involves actually making Plumbot parts for Plumbot CAS which appear as human Sims. As there are only head, body, arms and legs for Plumbot parts, there are many limitations and compromises, as well as some liberties taken with mapping and parts slots.

Feet (shoes) are part of the Plumbot legs. What I'm working on, I must attach shoes to the legs of the human appearing Plumbot parts. So... limits. The shoes can't be changed. You'll have a Plumbot with two sets of feet/ shoes. I made the head, using an EA YA head, but a Sim head has multiple meshes and 2 UV maps that had to be squeezed into one. I attached the Sim arms to the Sim body to make the Plumbot body part. 2 reasons... problem with shoulder seams, and now the arms slot is open. That, I use for hair. Again, UV map limits, as similar to Sims, Plumbot UV maps have one map for legs/ shoes/ feet, arms (now hair) and upper body. So, liberties to mirror and move the left arm UV to double up on the right arm. Mirrored and folded the upper and lower back. And now space created where the left arm and right side of the back were, I squeeze in hair. Actually been working on this since Feb 2020.

One issue C-Dark would have in making a teen, is that there is no teen reference for Plumbots, as parts are YA/A. The lost face comes from the fact that EA (the game) generates a head for all created Sims, but doesn't know how to handle changing hair on something that never had hair... a Plumbot.
