Curfews and age groups
I would like my teens to have a different curfew than kids. Does this have to be done in castes or is there a way to set a curfew for all teens in town and all kids in town?

The only global curfew options in General are under SP > General Options > Options: Situations > Options: Grads/Proms/Curfew. They have to do with days of the week and whether work/school days are taken into account or not, that is all.
The Begin and End times set and whether the curfews are Forced or not are under Caste (Town, Household, Sim) Options. So here is where you can specify one set of options for Teens and another for Children by using age-specific castes and/or exempt the actively being played sims or any that you think should be exempted on the individual Household or Sim Options levels.
Note that on the Begin and End times, leaving them both as "0" or any two values that are equal to each other does not deactivate curfews, it means that SP steps back and lets the EA standard curfew take hold. I think this feature takes many players by surprise.
But we're not talking about huge numbers of options here. There are two in General and three in Caste (Town, Household, Sim).

Thanks igazor, I set the curfews for teens in the Teens caste and created a children caste (set age, species etc) I also set the castes for sim type - residents, inactives, and human, but even though the castes are automatic for these age groups, I still see kids about town after curfew.

By game default children and teens already have different curfew hours. Curfews where never meant for inactive sims just for the active family. Chances are they will never honor the settings and I think you did ask about this before.

The settings for curfew are for when the police may round them up - some sims (I believe it depends on traits) will defy curfew. If you want them to have to actually go home then you need to set Curfew: Force to True.littlelambsy wrote: ↑May 10th, 2019, 10:36 pmThanks igazor, I set the curfews for teens in the Teens caste and created a children caste (set age, species etc) I also set the castes for sim type - residents, inactives, and human, but even though the castes are automatic for these age groups, I still see kids about town after curfew.

FlightRising, I'll try setting Enforce Curfew to True and see if that helps.
I think I've been playing this game too long, I'm losing my mind, (developed the Absent Minded Trait). It also Picks me when I see kids running around town at 2, 3 am when they should be in bed. I think I've also gained the Grumpy trait from watching all this madness.
