Hi everyone,
I'm a long time simmer and I'm pretty savvy with mods, but I'm having a problem I can't seem to figure out. I'm getting error code 12, graphical errors, stuck moodlets, and lags and freezes. This screams borked mod, but I can't seem to pin point it. I've taken out a large portion of my mods, removed anything I added before these problems, started new neighborhoods 5 times, and I cant seem to get anywhere. What could it be?

error code 12 and other problems
Hi there.
Straw-grasping first, which world(s) are you playing? And are these restart tests with all new sims or are you merging old game save sims and content like lots into newly started games? And in any of these worlds, any ErrorTrap or other mod script error logs to share?
It's always tempting to try to find the root cause of suddenly occurring issues like this by somewhat randomly removing stuff and hoping to be lucky enough to stumble into the solution. But for a more scientific approach when that doesn't work, I would suggest removing all non-NRaas mods from the mix making sure you have all current versions (and clear caches) since we know those aren't broken and re-doing one of your new neighborhood restart tests with all fresh sims to see how it plays. If all is fine again, then you know the culprit was something or some combination you just removed and you have a good baseline to work from. If not, then we have to dig a bit deeper and redo the test on a clean user game folder, then talk about your hardware and how much you are now throwing at it to run, what might have changed about your operating system, GPU, etc.

error code 12 and other problems
Error code 12 is often associated with the weighting of the save file. Have you tried cleaning it manually with s3pe or with savecleaner by Kuree? Do you have Overwatch and ErrorTrap installed? It is also very important to periodically reset all objects in the town using MC. Something could get stuck: sims, animals growing up, objects used. For the prevention of this action does not hurt. And finally, what is the weight of your save file? Some players have been playing the same save game for years. But some SIM players to 10-week get a lot of problems. In any case, it is worth trying to save the current saves. In an extreme case, you will have to use Porter and move with the least losses.
