Can I Delete my Sims and keep my town and houses

Post by Bowlady1955 » November 30th, 2018, 11:27 am

I want to start over but keep the CC house and venues I have put in my town, is there a way to do it?

Thanks as always

The standard way to do that would be to use MC to Totally Annihilate then entire town except for one sim/household whom you are keeping in place as the actives even if just as placeholders until you repopulate. That would be off of the MC > Town menu on City Hall, not the individual one on the Sim menu. ErrorTrap is recommended to be in place to help clean up any residual data left behind by the annihilations.

Thanks igazor, I didn't necessarily want to annihilate the town, just my sim family and to keep all the buildings and the town itself intact. Is the totally annihilate the only way to do it?

Thanks again

Maybe I misunderstand the question. TA removes all of the sims, or any subset that you specify, from the game so it is as if they never existed for that save going forward, but leaves the buildings and the town structures intact. Thus starting the town over, as there would be no sim history there.

If you just want to play a different household in the town with its population (except for your one current household) intact without starting the town over again, you can do that too just by switching households to a newly placed or an already existing one. If you don't want your currently active household to be there at all, you could move them to another Traveler mod connected world or TA just them to get them and their history out of this instance of the game to be played forward.
