No I'm afraid not but once you make the exact same changes in CAW you'll always have them as long as you keep the CAW edited version of the world.
The Save doesn't affect the world file directly it only affects that instance of the world.

sittingbear, sigh... I've done so much editing in game that it seems insurmountable to even consider "starting all over", if I'm to return back to the original world... I was hoping there was a way to import an edited world file in CAW. But, thanks anyway.

You could save all the lots you have edited and add them in while CAW instead of completely starting from scratch.

Mandelyn, the thing is, I've edited the world in game by placing lots and such very carefully and added a lot of trees, bushes, landmarks etc. outside of lots that would be gone if I'm to return into CAW to edit the world in its original state... :/

Sorry for reviving this thread but I'm also interested in doing something similar to my custom created world. I managed to find this method over at MTS: http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?s ... 3&t=469942 and was wondering if anyone was successful at editing their currently played worlds?
If you mean making changes to the world in CAW then using your current Saved game with it. No.
I actually somehow got it to work. I really only wanted to edit the road network and terrain a bit, exported the World with the same name as my current world and installed it.

It installed as 'Summerfield(1).world' since 'Summerfield.world' already exists, and what I did before launching the game was delete 'Summerfield.world' and rename 'Summerfield(1).world' to 'Summerfield.world'. And it worked!

The terrain might glitch in certain areas, like you will see gaps in the terrain but placing lots over the gaps and deleting them should fix it.

Let's just hope I didn't screw up my World! xD

Any changes made to a world file in CAW will always require a New Game to work properly. I've been using CAW since the day it came out so I think I would know.
