Wedding party destination

Post by littlelambsy » January 29th, 2018, 2:31 am

I'm planning a wedding for my sim, but chose "throw a party at..." and chose an exclusive club as the destination to have the wedding party. But, when making the arrangements I noticed it was set to Destination Party. I changed that to Wedding Party. Now I'm worried that all the guests will arrive at her house instead of the club. If changing it from destination to wedding makes the guests come to the house, how do I cancel the party so I can rebook it?

To cancel a party, MC Reset any one of the host household or invited guests. The party will end or be off the schedule as if it never happened or was supposed to happen.

The guests should show up at the club. Changing the party type from 'destination party' to 'wedding' won't affect where the party is held. Same with birthday parties.

Yeah, what Trey said. In the rare cases I've actually had to cancel a party on purpose, it's because I realized I forgot to invite someone important or needed to change the start time, not the location.

Great to hear the party will take place at the right destination. Thanks Trey and igazor. Another tip to write down in my book of notes "how to cancel a party" :) I don't usually do destination parties because it bugs me when the two newly married sims leave their wedding and go home! Then I have to wait until their home, then teleport them back to the party, its such a pain in the butt. I don't know why EA did that, it makes no sense. (that's my little morning rant LOL)

Or you could DE reset them if you notice they are starting to leave. DE Resets do not break into the party scenarios like the other kinds do.

I haven't had the newly married sims suddenly leave the wedding party (unless it's obvious the party ended). Usually I have to send them home myself and hope the party ends itself as a result. If you use GoHere maybe try setting "Disable Active Go Home" to true.

@igazor... good point that would just stop them in their tracks
@TreyNutz... I will check GoHere and make sure its set to false. Thanks :)
