Change University class schedule
Is there any way to change the class schedule for a sim who is already at university? One of my sims has all classes later in the day (12 and 4 pm.) while the other have mostly earlier 8 am. classes. Is there a way to change the times without having to go to an older save and resending them to uni?

The class schedule times are different for each study category. Art, Business, Medical etc.
And do not vary. The times are fixed.
So I assume your two sims do not study the same?

yes, i sent four sims and each has a different major. i tested on an old save and resent them, the sim i wanted to have early classes got them and all the rest also changed schedules. so my understanding is that they get randomised every time you send them? i just wish there was a way to "reschedule" while they are already in university since i played the first day and decorated their dorm.

On this page you find the schedule times for all majors

I think if one major is already taken place, it will be skipped?

Let me make sure I understand the issue here. You want an entire major university to upend its carefully prepared class schedules that are painstakingly arranged to distribute its professor and classroom availability, and other resources, in order to maximize teaching and research potential so that you and your sims can spend more social time together in your custom decorated dormitory?
I think someone is missing the entire point of going to Uni and their sims don't even deserve to be there.
Okay, I don't really mean any of that. But I spent years of my life as a grad student getting up at 6:30 am or earlier depending on the commute times to teach 8 am college math classes that no one really cared about and didn't show up for half the time. And now, (mumbles) number of decades later, I am certain that not one of my students remembers how to analyze the focus points of conic sections, solve conditional trigonometric equations, how to integrate a function by parts, or any of the other fascinating topics we covered. (If they did have any real interest in or stood to remember any of this stuff, they would have been in higher level classes to begin with instead of just trying to satisfy requirements for their unrelated majors). Maybe I'm still just a bit "salty" about that experience.

Oh no, i feel like i just got scolded. I'm so ashamed, I'm going to make my sims drop out immediately
Haha, that aside, i think I've worked this out by actually having them drop out and re-enroll in the same save. Class times got re-randomised like i wanted, and i had only played one day before that, so it wasn't a hassle to re-play it. I also added the same roommates back with Nraas MC > Add roommate. So I'm pretty happy
Thanks everyone or the replies!

Hm, but please, what exactly do you mean with randomised?
Maybe I misunderstood which times you mean?
Not the time schedule list for the major classes which I linked?

i meant the times for classes that you see when you click on Academic > Class schedule, and it's under Start Time (8:00 AM. 12:00 PM. 4:00 PM.) . When i send my sim to university, those times are set for them (i assumed these times are randomised each time you go to university), and i couldn't find a way to change them. So i dropped out and re-enrolled them until those times were good for me.
I couldn't find the time schedule list you mentioned on the guide you linked. Did i miss them? or maybe did you mean something else?

The guide C-Dark linked specifically mentions that times are randomised:
'Class times fall into three time slots that fall on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Classes can be from 8-10AM, 12-2PM, or 4-6PM. Fully booked, you will always have these three class times. If you took one or two classes, the class name and time slot are selected randomly from these three possibilities.'
So I don't think you are the one that missed something.

Oh, thanks well I really didn't know all time, since years.Cassie post_id=100377 time=1710775004 user_id=18582 wrote: The guide C-Dark linked specifically mentions that times are randomised:

I am sorry for the confusion.
I only play homeworld university and I am pretty sure, that the schedule times are always exactly the same you can see in the table on that page.
At least I thought they are static. I will look carefully in my game now, if I was only dreaming.
