edited tuning files with Packer, game says no import settings found

I know there used to be a way that you can use the same tuning settings for multiple saves without having to constantly redo the settings. I used Packer to edit the tuning files and saved them (when I open them with Packer, it shows the changes) in game; theres a popup saying no import settings found and if I go to the settings and hit import then I get the same error. Changing the settings in game then exporting didn't work either, not sure if its generating the file doing it this way. Is there a specific way to get the game to register the new tuning file when you edit it with packer?

You don't import the tuning packages. If they are installed, they automatically load. However, I recommend using Overwatch to Export Settings then use Import on the new save. This works for most but not all settings. It's recommended you export StoryProgression settings seperately just due to the size of those.

Odd, they're installed into same folder I have the mods in, but the game doesn't seem to be loading the settings, I'll just do it by the Overwatch way then, thanks

If you've set any settings in the save prior or are traveling in from another town then they won't load. Perhaps that's the case?

That's very possible, I can't recall if I changed in game settings or not prior to downloading the tunings and changing them. Most likely the case though
