Hi, recently I noticed that my game is shutting down at the exact same time every time I try to play it (2 PM in game, 2:00 PM). I tried to fix the issue by resetting town with Master Controller but after I click Reset Everything the game is turning off again, even though it's not 2:00 PM yet as time is paused during resetting. I don't know what can trigger the issue and I never had this kind of problem. Honestly I hoped resetting would fix this somehow but it seems this action causes game to shut down too. If someone have any idea what could be helpful in this situation I would be very grateful since I don't have much knowledge about this stuff.

Do you have NRaas ErrorTrap and Overwatch in play?
While MC has some very useful manual clean up options, these two are the ones we rely on to hopefully catch issues before they cause a crash. ErrorTrap can also provide ScriptError logs in the My Documents directory for the game, which contain information that can point us in the right direction.

There are a couple of ways to troubleshoot what is happening when a crash is happening on the hour, but it would be a useful starting point to know if you have these mods first.

Currently I don't have ErrorTrap and Overwatch.

Would you like to test introducing those two and seeing if the crash still occurs?

Some info so you know what exactly both get up to-
Overwatch will run some general clean-up both when you load the game and around 3am each sim-day, such as finding stuck sims and general mess that accumulates over time and setting them back to rights.
If the issue firing at 2pm isn't resolved by that, ErrorTrap may be able to catch and report on what is happening- if you get a notification and/or still experience the crash, an error log will probably generate.

The file will be named something like ScriptError_[PC_Name]_[Date]_[numbers/letters], and you can drag and drop it on a reply to upload it to the site

Alright, I installed both Overwatch and ErrorTrap. I tried to play the game to see if it will go past the crush but this time it happened around 7:35 AM (this is time in the game) so way before 14:00 like it was before, I have no idea why it's different hour now. If this is somehow related, around an hour before the crush so around 6:40 in game time, I got notification "ErrorTrap Recorded: 945". And shortly after it turned off. I looked into the files and I see two with the name ScriptError. I have no idea how to upload them though. I can only copy and paste all of the text here but that's a lot.

The 945 number is not helpful, that just means the mod captured ("trapped") 945 errors at that time. When that happens it usually means it's the same error or two repeatedly, caught in a loop, but we really need to be able to read what some of them say in order to be of assistance.

It looks to me like you already tried the drag and drop method even though it didn't present anything on this thread, which means we have one (just one) of your script logs on the site's upload manager. Is this yours?

That is a routine ErrorTrap Correction Log, it doesn't contain any actual errors. And it's really long, but that's because you haven't had the mod in play all this time. The next Correction Logs will likely be much shorter. Do you have any others to share, in the same way?

2. What world are you playing at the moment?
3. What is your population of residents, you can find out with MC.
4. Did you install something new recently, not counting Errortrap and Overwatch?

Yes, this script is mine. And the only other script file I see in my documents is ScriptError_LAPTOP-HMST6MUL__02-16-2024__11-01-37__D7ED32D4.xml

That's also just a normal correction log. There's just quite a bit of junk data in that save from errortrap being absent.

If you're able to get the crash to roughly the same time, install DebugEnabler and do a Dump All Alarms on the city hall with it a few sim minutes before the crash. Provide the time of the crash and the script error that command generates.
