My child is enrolled in both the Music school and in afterschool ballet class. The music school has non-standard days, with classes being out on Tuesday and Friday. Ballet class is on M, Tu, Th, and she skips the Tuesday Ballet class. If I try to make her go, I get a message saying that the child has to be in class immediately prior to going to the afterschool activity.
Is there anything that I can do about this, aside from giving up on the idea of reaching level 3 of afterschool activities or switching to a different school?

I take it that you have altered the Careers School module tuning using S3PE to adjust the schedule for the music school to your liking (correct me if I am just not remembering what the default days and times were). Wouldn't the path of least resistance be to alter it again so that the class schedule no longer appears to interfere with the activity?
Personally I gave up on afterschool activities for those in the specialty schools long ago even though others report that they work fine for them and instead have extended their hours so that they have more time for skill building during a longer school day. I do miss out on ballet recitals and the like, but get plenty of those for my sims in public schools and the sims in the private schools haven't yet complained to me about it.

No, I haven't modified that. So, the custom schools are all supposed to have the same days as regular school, then? I thought that I had remembered it being that way and was a bit surprised when the alternate schedule showed up.
Hmm, I don't immediately see any other mods that look like they would have done that. I guess it's time to see if I can narrow down which of the many many mods I have is responsible.

No, that isn't what I meant. The schedules for the custom schools are very different from the public schools. I was not remembering what the defaults were and I guess at the time I wasn't in a position to check as I now just have.
The default for the Children's Music school is Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun, 9am-3pm. It is not difficult to change the tuning. Would you like a version that meets Mon-Fri instead? I did this up for players who wanted no custom schools on weekends years ago, but had forgotten that the Children's Music School was one that had this schedule as a default to begin with. Or if you don't like this schedule, we can do a different one.

Thanks very much! I appreciate the tuning. I'll take a look at it and see what I can figure out, but I imagine that I'll just use what you provided.igazor wrote: ↑October 5th, 2019, 6:25 pmThe default for the Children's Music school is Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun, 9am-3pm. If you have any of the Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board collection from the Sims 3 Store, you can get to level 3 ballet very quickly, as it allows you to practice ballet at home. Just an FYI
