Are sims in the Homemaker career supposed to get the Daycare van awarded to them? If yes, at what career level is that supposed to happen? I switched back to a household where I have a sim in this career and she had been awarded the van. She is at level 4, is that normal? If I delete it, will she get awarded it again?

The homemaker and daycare are two different careers and as far as I know the homemaker doesn't get the awarded van. But, if you want it, you can get it from buydebug when your sim reaches a certain level.

If it helps, a sim in one of my games had the homemaker career and got the day care van given to them. Off the top of my head I don't know what level of the career they got it though. From memory, my sim didn't get that far in the career before I moved them out so level 3 or 4 would sound about right. I'm not sure if she would get it awarded again if you deleted it, my guess would be no though.

Thanks for the info! Yes I think you are right kimlupai, my sim just reached Level 5 of the Homemaker career and the announcement said she's at the top level. So I think the daycare van has been awarded to her on purpose as a career reward. She's a nanny though and not a daycare worker so I deleted it and bought her another vehicle.

It came as a (nice) surprise when I played. Although as I'm playing the Through Time challenge, in the prehistoric generation at the moment and in a roadless world unfortunately I couldn't use the van. I will definitely be using the career more in the future though. I did look through my pictures to try and find exactly what level my sim got the van but I couldn't find anything immediately. I did find a picture showing the van in the sim's inventory so I know I wasn't dreaming it, which was relief. )

I didn't know the homemaker career got the van either, littlelambsy! But as I said in this case I'm playing this sim as a live-in nanny to a well-off family so in this case I really didn't think it was suitable. But I was curious if it was part of the career, and now we know!

Are you all sure this is coming from this career? I couldn't find anywhere this is part of it.

I was curious about this also as I play day care lots with a level 5 Specialist and a level 5 Homemaker but never was sure if the Homemaker got the van with the career.
Just tried it out and assigned two Sims the Daycare Specialist Career and the Homemaker Career: Both got the Van
