I have a homeworld uni that I built in st. claire. So my sim was taking her exams and had a cheat sheet and I chose the cheat on exam option. Silly girl got caught and kicked out of the exam. She got the caught cheating moodlet and the message saying she can clear her name.
So I sent her to the administration building by selecting the try to clear name option. She stays in for a bit and then comes out and nothing happens. I thought there would be some sort of message or something. So I looked it up and it's suppose to trigger and opportunity to clear your name.
My question is is this a glitch in my game or is it bc it's suppose to trigger a uni opportunity that just isn't available in homeworlds? Also would I be able to force it with MC or something bc she went on to fail her next two exams and I think it's bc of the 2 day negative moodlets bc her grade meter bar thing was still half green.
Sorry if this is scattered or something. I'm on my phone and this box is tiny.
Thanks for any help.
Homeworld University Homeworld Uni & Cheating
Yes, for the sim to clear his/her name, they get an opportunity and need to go to the administration building for a few hours to record an anti-cheating video. I've done that once, at the EA university world. It may be that the opportunity is restricted by world; I don't really know though. I also don't know if it would be available via MC. If her academic progress bar is only half-full though, that might explain why she failed her next 2 exams. Was it full before she was caught cheating?
Thanks so much. I thought it might be uni world specific.
Yeh her bar was half full when she was taking the first exam and got booted for cheating. It was going down fast at first but I had her study hard from the book in between classes while under the influence of wonderpetal and that helped keep it stagnant at least. I also had her try hard on the other two exams.
Now that I think about it, I remember reading somewhere that the sims mood has a lot to do with exam results. She started out in the top tier green. But she caught either a cold or simfluenza while in the administration office. So she ended up with the germy moodlet, the caught cheating moodlet, and a naseous moodlet for the 3rd exam and all that plus the herb sick moodlet for the 2nd exam.
I'm thinking she was doomed from the start bc her mood was so low by then.
I think I'll let her keep the 2 day moodlet for cheating as it's now the weekend and try and nurse her to health and start fresh on monday.
Last question. If she failed all 3 exams she will probably fail the semester resulting in no credits, correct?

There's another way this can go all goofy. One sim I had smooth talk his way through the hearing at the Admin Bldg was very proud of himself, but the hearing (maybe this was where the video needed to be produced?) was at the same time as his second exam so he never got to take it and thus failed anyway. That was a 1-week term at Uni World though, not a Homeworld Uni, so of course the events timeline was more condensed. Just felt like sharing.
