It is the ‘something else from somewhere else’ category, however I’m planning on buying the whole collection from steam, as its on a 50% sale, so I can rule this problem out. This is the last thing I can think of, as a totally clean and fresh mods folder with only sonya’s mod still gives me this crash, without any error logs.

also since I’m here, just a quick question. Which version do you recommend updating to? As I’ve read that there is one patch that kind of breaks the game and I’m not sure which one it was

the steam download will patch you automatically to 1.67

If you have a disc (also 1.67) install you can also use the Superpatch . So what kind of installation do you have?

To be totally honest with you guys, I never felt like spending this much on a game which costs that much even at a 50% sale, so I used to have a pirated copy. However this money was one of the most well spent ones ever, since I bought the steam version, sonya’s uc works, the game runs almost frighteningly smooth and fast, and its incredible! I’ve played sims 3 the way I mentioned for more than 10 years, with lag and crashes. This will be a completely new era of the sims 3 for me.

So yeah all in all, buying the game and having it patched at 1.67 solved all my problems, not just with sonya’s mod but with the whole game, so thanks a lot!

Well, now you know why, ethics aside, pirated versions of the game aren't supported. They just don't work properly.
