Dream Pod Woohoo

Post by redazaleas » March 5th, 2019, 7:50 pm

Hi, is there any way to Woohoo in a Dream Pod bed with Woohooer mod? At the moment it glitches out before the animation, and the sims need to be reset and the bed too. It works fine when Woohooer is gone. I love both the Dream Pod and Woohooer, so I'm torn. I could buy a hay bale, i guess... Thanks for any ideas.

I usually don't have a problem with my sims woohooing in the dream pod, but occasionally it does glitch out for me too. But, in my games that's somewhat rare. Is that happening every time your sims woohoo in the dream pod? Have you tried replacing the dream pod, or resetting it with MasterController?

Are there script errors generated when this occurs?

ah! i tried in various saves, turns out its only happening to my Starlight Shores family. (edit: every time with one bed, but not with a new bed.) This was the same family that would stand outside every night cuz of a glitch, but they dont do that anymore. i remember two years ago i had this problem with another family though. Still, it's a relief to know lots of families dont have this.

Yes, it says script error, then the names of the two sims.

That sounds like the on screen notification that an error has occurred. A short time after, a script error log should appear in your TS3 user game folder. Is that all the log says as well, or can you share its contents with us by dragging the xml file into a response here?

I've dragged the files, but it doesn't seem to work - just does code /code for each. Is there another way to upload?

I couldn't delete the glitchy Dream Pod - not even with cheats, says 'can't delete contained object' - but when I bought a new one, that one worked just fine. (Any tips for deleting the old one?)

Thanks for helping.

We have your script logs despite them not making it into the message text editor above, thanks.

It does seem that the dream pods on that lot are corrupt and need to be replaced. I wonder if it's time to consider cutting your losses with that lot and find a new place for these sims to live? If that's not acceptable, Chain may have some better ideas when he returns to this thread.

Sorry, left out a suggestion here. You could use MasterController to try to remove the older dream pods. On the lot/household menu, NRaas > MC > Object Stats > Non-Inventory and select the pods to Flush them.

-- You will need to add in the MC Cheats module first, as currently you only have the MC base mod.
-- The Flush command is not selective. You will lose all dream pods on the lot, so the newer ones will have to be replaced as well.
-- Be sure none of the pods are in use by any sims before trying this.

Are there two versions of these things? Or does it decay somehow? I've seen this before where it becomes the poor model that lacks effect slots and breaks woohoo.
