Woohooer Scoring - More info on Methods

Post by OldNob » June 17th, 2016, 12:46 pm

There are these methods defined in the Woohooer Scoring package:
<ul><li>Privacy - apparently score to see if they will "shoo" a sim in the room before woohoo.</li></ul>
*Sneakiness - apparently to score to see if they will notice a romantic interest in the room that they're about to cheat on, or spouse/romantic interest of the sim they are about to romance with.

<ul><li>ReactsToJealousy - Will the sim who catches his romantic interest cheating react to it?</li></ul>
*InterestInCommon - Okay, it checks common interest, for what actions?

InterestInSingle - I suspect that it is for a single sim with no romantic interest, but to do what?

InterestInAffair - Like InterestInSingle, but for married sims? Woohoo or just romance?

InterestInRisky - Pretty obvious a score for risky woohoo.

InterestInTryForBaby - same as risky but try for baby.

InterestInRomance - Uh... I'm thinking it is just romance in general, the go steady thing.

InterestInWoohooSingle - Must be like InterestInSingle, but for woohoo with a single (unattached) sim?

InterestInWoohooAffair - similar as above.

InterestInTryForBaby[Single,Affair] like Risky but for TFB.

InterestInRomanceSingle - Just interest in Romance alone...

WorryAboutWoohoo, LikeFriendWithBenefit, LikeOneNightStand, LikeRisky - I'm thinking this only applies to determine post woohoo buffs and doesn't gate any interactions.

ElevatorSuccess - What's this?

Monogamous - I'm thinking this scores against any romantic actions with anyone besides their romantic partner.

Q1) These are all defined in the Woohooer DLL, obviously, but where? I did a search in ILSpy for these methods, and I didn't find an actual method.

Comment: I was able to use the Servitude Buff that a sim gets when an alien uses mind control on them in scoring by adding this:

<Privacy>
<FullClassName>NRaas.Commonspace.Scoring.BuffScoring,NRaasWoohooer</FullClassName>
<Buff>Servitude</Buff>
<Hit>-200</Hit>
<Miss>0</Miss>
</Privacy>

And so on for InterestInSingle and all that. it shows up in the "test" to change their score, so it works. However! I noticed that trying to do romantic interactions on the mind controlled sim doesn't seem to make any difference. However, my sim turned away, and the mind controlled sim was all over him.
Q2) Is it that Sim A trying a reaction on Sim B calculates one score for the interaction, and a different score is calculated if Sim B tries the interaction on Sim A?

This is From the scoring mod...
<InterestInRomanceAffair>
<FullClassName></FullClassName>
</InterestInRomanceAffair>
<InterestInRomanceAffair>
<FullClassName>NRaas.CommonSpace.Scoring.SimGenericScoring,NRaasWoohooer</FullClassName>
<Scoring>InterestInAffair</Scoring>
</InterestInRomanceAffair>
<InterestInRomanceAffair>
<FullClassName>NRaas.CommonSpace.Scoring.SimGenericScoring,NRaasWoohooer</FullClassName>
<Scoring>InterestInRomance</Scoring>
</InterestInRomanceAffair>

That is unexplained in the Scoring tutorial. What does this do?

Also, where do I find the scoring for the interaction? In the NRAAS->Woohooer->Scoring a list is produced, which I assume are all methods, and I don't see all these methods in the scoring mode. Can anyone explain this?

Scoring is kewl.

I'm sure that a developer would be happy to explain the above when they get time. Let's give them a chance to see and react to this thread if we could, please. :)

Can I edit some of the Tutorial pages? For example, under the Scoring section, it just lists <FullClassName> and no of the other fields. I am far from an expert, but I know there is more to it than that.

A good deal of these aren't used anymore because twallan switched over to using the EA attraction system but those got left in the scoring package. I think the only one's used are Privacy, Sneakiness, InterestInTryForBaby, InterestInRisky, Monogamous (scoring for Sims who won't flirt with others while in a relationship), ElevatorSuccess (scoring for success in elevator woohoo), (KamaSimtra buffs from here) WorryAboutWoohoo, LikeFriendWithBenefit, LikeOneNightStand and LikeRisky.

They aren't defined in the DLL, they are just scoring tables. The FullClassNames map the scoring tables to the methods used to calculate the scores. There's no detailed breakdown available of these methods, I haven't investigated most of them myself.

Wow Chain, is that definite? That's really disappointing. I thought, for instance, "interest in Woohoo Affair" determined whether a sim would autonomously initiate a Woohoo when partnered with/married to someone else, assuming whatever EA attraction score, mood, and LTR factors made them otherwise interested. I wasn't sure if whether had any impact on whether they'd accept such an invitation or not, but I thought it definitely had to do with whether they'd initiate it. Likewise for other scoring.

I'd really, really like to see the pre-EA attraction asymmetrical attraction return (optionally, anyway), where EA's attraction system could have some base effect but Sim X could desire Sim Y while Sim Y could be unattracted to Sim X for reasons other than sexual orientation (which is, right now, the only reason I think that can happen).

The EA attraction system along with everything I've seen in the tuning files, to whatever extent they are or aren't used, means that an attractive (lifetime reward) sim is not only more attractive to others but is also more attracted to others. Actually the attractive sim should be, if anything, more picky. The same with rising in career. A sim at Level 10 in their career should tend to be less interested in a Level 1 sim than if the Level 10 sim were lower level, rather than the reverse. In fact a sim with the Snob trait perhaps should reject any sim not already their partner who's more than two career levels below them (and it should be a negative factor, though one that can be overcome, if the sim being sought is not a Snob).

That would create interesting drama that would be great for the game.
