Kama Simtra - Getting Paid

Post by oobobbi » September 18th, 2015, 9:47 am

Hey everyone :)
Well I FINALLY got the new hdd set up and got The Sims running well :)
I wanted to toy around with the Karma Simtra mod for awhile in a new game. I want to try to bring my sim from utter poverty into wealth and lavish comfort all through Karma Simtra woohoo only.

I am having a problem getting paid though. I can Random woohoo on the computer by cybering, and I can get paid.
I can go to the spa and have a discreet rendezvous and get paid.

I cannot however, actually beeee with another sim in person, do the woohoo thing an get paid. I have tried this several times. Meet up with sim, we have become friends, suggest woohoo... we go and woohoo and all is great. But then when I say goodbye, they just leave... no pay! *why the lazy no good bums!
I have also tried getting the red heart and romantic interest thing in the relationship first. Romantic... lovers... woohoo and still no pay.

Am I missing a setting somewhere or something?

Thanks!

Romantic Interest vs. total strangers doesn't matter and FYI payment happens upon completion of woohoo in person, not when they say goodbye, unless we are talking about the ordering up of services scenario from the computer menu which is different. But there are a few common reasons why working professionals will not be paid.

-- The other sim does not have enough cash, in which case your sim is giving it away.
-- The other sim is also a registered pro and has the same rate of pay as your sim (in which case they would be paying each other).
-- The other sim is part of your sim's household, but that doesn't sound like the case here.
-- Another mod is getting in the way. Try again as a test with all non-NRaas mods removed, including Ani's Working Sims Bed if you have that one.

But if none of those, are you certain they aren't really being paid and it's just that the animation of the money flying into their total isn't triggering?

Thanks igazor :)
Welllll, lets see... umm, ok, payment has not been happening after completion of woohoo or any time thereafter. The town being only a couple of days old now it is possible that the sims didn't have the funds to pay her.
Yes, I am certain she is not getting paid. Not only do we not see the money and totals flying into the air but the totals of her funds down there in her funds window remain unchanged too after an encounter. I do not have any other mods running other than those I got from here.

Payment happens on the computer and at the spa, so I have to think the script is running right.
I just didn't know if I had missed a setting somewhere, or perhaps didn't have a high enough score in some area such as charisma, or karma simtra, etc...
But now it is sounding like a likely reason would be that the other sims didn't have those funds available to them.

I usually have Tagger set to display the amount of cash (and net worth) each sim has when seen in Map View. My working professionals are very busy and don't have time for unintended charity cases -- intentional ones would be another matter. :)

lol.. ok, I have yet to learn about tags, but, yes, with the clock in sims and time running so fast, almost as bad as RL!! I definitely should look into that some and figure out how to use those tags!
