Teens unable to "Try for Baby" or "Risky Woohoo"

Post by Loveandhateforever » June 28th, 2016, 8:47 pm

The only mods I have installed are Woohooer and StoryProgression.
When trying to get my Teens to "TFB", it says Progression Denied. I've done all the steps in the Woohooer FAQ. Both teens are allowed to Woohoo, and pregnancy is allowed for teens. I did this with both participating Teens, and in the StoryProgression 'Town' settings.

Hi there, this question sounds familiar. But thanks for posting it over here. :)

In SP, the settings flow like this: Town > Lot > Caste > Household > Sim. But settings on the right will trump, that is override, settings on the left. So it doesn't matter what the Town settings are, it matters what the Caste, Household, and Sim settings are for the teen sims. The Town Settings on the left would apply to everyone else who doesn't have heavier weighted settings applied to them on the right.

To check if two particular sims can be pregnant and impregnate (participate), on the sims themselves check NRaas > SP > Sim Options > and then
Allow Can Be Pregnant (should be True)
Allow Participation (should be True)
Allow Participation Caste (probably blank, but could be restricted here to other teens only for example)
Disallow Participation Caste (could be blank, but could also include Elders or Adults if wanted)
Disallow Can Be Pregnant Caste (could be blank but same as above)

If you see any settings other than the above, and in (parentheses), it means that those settings are flowing down from a higher level such as the Teen Caste and should be adjusted there. To reach and change Caste settings, use City Hall or an in-game computer.

If all else fails, you could break the link between SP and Woohooer as many of us have done. However, this strategy alone could lead to the situation where Woohooer allows teens to Try for Baby, but then SP terminates the resulting pregnancy when it notices one if it's not meant to be allowed under its settings
.
NRaas > Woohooer > General > Link to SP > False. (or alternatively change only the Check SP for User-Directed to False if this is what you want)

Does that help, or are things still as clear as mud? :)

I figured I would be polite and post it in your realm of expertise. ;) I'm so clueless on mods and such. I'm currently playing, so when I get to some teens, I will adjust those settings and let you know what happens. Hopefully I can figure it out. ;D

It indeed worked! I feel like I was doing those exact steps, but apparently not. Thank you very much. Now to go fix my issue with the clothing for the pregnant teen. :P
