Experienced challenge for woohooer

Post by Veiledstar » March 16th, 2017, 8:18 pm

I can't remember if this is 5 rabbit holes or 5 locations. My elders are bored and looking to gain some more skill. I thought I'd send them out, but I'm not sure what I'm sending them for exactly. My sims have woohooed in 5 different locations (not rabbit holes, but different locations by the mod standard), but it isn't showing as completed.

I happen to have a sim working on that challenge myself. I think it's 5 times in each woohoo location (of which, rabbit hole is one). I don't know if you need 5 different sims or not for each location. From the drop down list in the skill challenge page for each of your sims choose the Locations option. That will list all locations you've made valid and how many times that sim has woohooed in each one.

I disabled 3 of the locations (Woohooer>Woohoo>Valid Location) and they don't show up on the Location list. So I'm hoping my sim won't have to complete those two to achieve the Experienced challenge. He's got 2 more to go (igloo and leaf pile) and I'll see. I disabled the Eiffel Tower, deep sea cave, and Box of Mystery. I'm not planning for my sim to develop the diving skill or go into the Magician career (and I haven't found a buyable Box of Mystery). I suppose I could do the Eiffel Tower, I just need to place it somewhere.

My sims have already completed it by location and it still hasn't popped as becoming a challenge they completed. I also tried at 5 different rabbit holes and it didn't do it either. Maybe chain can help.

I also have one sim that should have completed it by sims that are different and in different locations.

@Vstar - Hey there. You do realized that it's five times in each possible location, right? That's a heckova lotta of woohoo; this is one challenge I never even bothered with because even I just don't have time to manage quite that many intimate sessions in bizarre or not very convenient to reach places. I'm also not sure, could be mistaken about this, but it's possible that all of this has to take place in one world; some of these challenges seem to have trouble keeping score if you travel or move sims around.

Oh, the last thing I want to read is that some of these challenges might be affected by travel. I've had my sim complete a few of the minor challenges and locations in his homeworld, and most of the others in a Traveler world (Suvadiva). He also visited OL, France, China, and Egypt for the Worldly challenge (which only needed 3 to complete) and completed the tent location in at least 2 of the WA destinations. So far his stats seem ok. I haven't noticed him losing any completed challenges, and all his Location stats still seem ok, although I'm just tracking how many locations are above 5 notches and how many are not. I hope they all count in the end. Oh, of course he did the hover train location in OL. And I was recently setting up another Traveler destination for him to complete the galaxy of stars (reduced to 250 stars), occultist, monster masher, grave robbing, and the elder sim challenges. I may have to rethink things if some of those challenges have trouble keep score with traveling. Maybe I've just been lucky so far.

@Veildstar, so your sims have woohooed 5x in every location? That's, well with all EPs, that's...27 locations x 5 = 135 woohoos. I disabled 3 of them and still have 2 more to go, mainly because I've been keeping it summer in the game so far and concentrating on some of the other minor challenges.

Oh, for the 'rabbit hole' location woohooing 5 times in any rabbit hole will count for that. Except the resort towers if you have IP. Those are a separate location.

@Trey - Actually, the problem I've observed with challenges and opps generally is with the tallies that are displayed midstream for those that do so. That doesn't mean all that activity isn't really being counted. But I've seen some of them (not this one) fail outright to be counted as successful when there wasn't any other reason I could come up with other than travel and homeworld switches to explain them. Don't take this to the bank, this one may work perfectly the way you've described it. And I'm sure it was at least intended to, who in the world has Eiffel Towers, Zephyrs, underwater lots, and all that stuff all in the same world? :)

@igazor there is a bug and it's one I don't mind in Woohoo that if you use Discreet Rendezvous at the Day Spa you can get KS points for woohooing in objects that are not in the world heck one of my sims woohoo'ed in the All-In-One Bathroom at one such rendezvous I didn't even have IP or ITF installed lol
