Let Ghosts Walk Like Normal Sims

There's an entry on the Retuner Member Created Tuning Files page entitled "Let ghosts walk like normal sims" but it states it's only available with Retuner version 8, patch 1.55.

I'm not sure why it says that. I followed the path given but was totally confused by the contents. Should I delete that entry as it cannot be done with the current version? Or can it?

Could someone explain the "SimWalkStyleRules > kWalkStylesThatCountAsWalking" to me? For instance, GhostWalk has a number 2 and if I go into GhostWalk, everything listed in there has 0. What do the numbers mean?

@Chain: You may remember I asked a while ago if the default routing style of "Automatic" could be changed to "Walk" in GoHere but I'm now wondering if it could be done in Retuner?

Thanks! :-)

You could probably set the first value in kAutonomousWalkStyleWeights to 1.0 and the rest to 0 plus the first value in kWalkStyleAdultDistanceThresholds to 999999998 to achieve the walking you desire (each age has one of these) but there are a handful of instances where the scripting overrides this that only a script mod would be able to stop. Give it a shot and see how it works out.

As for the ghost walk, that information is bogus. It's not possible to make ghosts walk normally unless one edits the LocomotionConfig tuning which is table based and Retuner doesn't support.

Will give that a try, thanks Chain. :-)

Also, will remove that entry about the ghost walk too.

I'm really pleased to say those changes to the walk styles seem to be working so far. It's wonderful! Thanks again Chain. :-)

Glad to hear. If you find time to tally up my ramblings into something usable and add it to the tunings page I would appreciate it.

Course I will! Should have thought of that myself. Will do it now. :-)
