Constant University Script Errors

I just sent my Sims back to University and I'm getting constant script errors (for different Sims) from Keith's Komics. I've tried resetting the lot but I don't know if that's worked since I'm not in game right now. I'll try again after posting this and will report back.

In in the mean time, I uploaded all the script errors under "University Script Errors".

Well, that's an impressive meltdown. But I'm not seeing where the problem is particularly focused to the comic book store. Your game's Dreams and Promises manager is broken. Whenever any sim tries to do just about anything, it's kicking up a broken Dream Manager error.

This may be more difficult to diagnose because you have AwesomeMod in play and we can't really tell if that's being a factor. But here are some things to try:
-- Install Dreamer

-- MC Reset the entire world, using the Admin Building as a substitute for City Hall
NRaas > MC > Town > Reset Everything

--Temporarily remove all non-NRaas mods (keep Awesome though, that one causes issues if removed improperly), clear the scriptCache.package file, see if things improve.

Fourth thing if those three alone don't work, revert to a pre-Uni travel save and try again.

I also have to question the wisdom of traveling to any worlds, including the EA ones, without <a class="wiki_link" href="/Traveler">Traveler</a> but I sense you are a sophisticated enough player (or at least have been around here long enough) to have a really good reason for doing so. :)

Oh drats, I just remembered that Awesome and Dreamer overlap in functionality. Although our developer has advised us that such isn't really a conflict and they can co-exist. But it would possibly be Awesome that is causing your inactives to care about their dreams and promises so much even if it wasn't the cause of the breakage itself.

And one last thing I noticed before closing all of these windows out. Many (not all) of these sims are trying to fulfill a wish to have a cane in their inventory. But they are Adults, not Elders. Any reason you can think of for this -- have you somehow aged large numbers of inactive Elder Uni sims down to Adults and these have become leftover promised wishes?

Somehow numerous inactives have dream managers but have dreams that have gotten detached from them. I'd recommend installing Dreamer and also dropping dreams and promises on the city hall, under Town with MasterController.

^It's Uni World, Chain. The player will have to use the Admin Bldg, not City Hall. :)

Yes, sorry. :)

@igazor,

No, I haven't aged any inactive Elders. I don't do stuff like that. About Dreamer, should I remove Awesome Mod first before installing? I don't want to cause any more problems than I've got right now.

Ok, I removed Awesome Mod and installed Dreamer. Now Dreamer is throwing up script errors and just sent my Sim's wife back to the home world! I exited without saving and reverted to a pre-University save.
I did check out Traveler but I don't see how that would help. I only travel to University since I don't have World Adventures. Would that really stop this from happening?

Wow. Dreamer only made things worse. ErrorTrap kept throwing up countless "Script Error" messages (I couldn't even play my save even though it loaded just fine) I had to quit. I'm going to see what happens without Dreamer.
Well, that didn't work. Still getting a million script error messages.

I specifically said not to remove AwesomeMod. Maybe I wasn't clear enough. It is a far-reaching core mod and you have to go through a formal removal procedure for that one (though I don't remember exactly how that goes, there's a console command involved at least), you can't just take it out and expect a game that has been using it to still be playable as there will be sims with then undefined traits all over the place. In addition to custom traits, the mod manages things in a way such that ongoing games will often not survive its removal.

At Uni, did you try running the Drop Dreams and Promises command that Chain suggested? Did you run an MC Reset Everything? Neither one of us meant to say install Dreamer and do nothing else.

It sounds like the goal now though is to get your pre-Uni travel game to be playable and stable again as I assume it was before worrying about traveling to Uni. That probably means putting Awesome back. The reason I had suggested Traveler is that it replaces the often prone to breakage travel transition with one that is stronger and less prone to errors and was suspicious that the breakage upon arrival was partially due to a broken travel sequence.

I'm getting the sense that we are not being clear enough with our recommendations. Or something. Sorry.
