Tried to place a Consignment Store in France. ScriptError Uploaded.

Hello,

I recently edited Champs Les Sims and thought it would be a good idea to put a consignment store in France, since the residents mainly make their money by selling collectables. And the residents do seem to use the consignment store. However, when I try to have my active traveling Sims sell things there, the interaction is dropped and I get a script error. Is there a way I can fix this?

Thank you,

Dorthea

Interesting, I've never tried to place a Consignment Store in a WA world. I take it that Gerard Morel is your assigned cashier? The error is saying that the game cannot find a display name for a particular object, an insect terrarium. That could be an odd translation string goofing things up, but then the error goes on to blather about AwesomeMod. It's possible (totally not sure) that Awesome does something with the consignment system and isn't going to allow this.

Have you tried MC resetting the Consignment Store lot?

You have an insect terrarium that is corrupt in the consignable list. I'm not sure if that's awesome's doing or not. Delete the register and replace it and see what that does.

Hey, thanks guys! Yes, Gerard Morel is the cashier. I tried MC resetting the lot, and that didn't work. I'll try replacing the register and see what happens.
As for the corrupt insect terrarium--do I need to find that and delete that too?

I suspect that the object itself doesn't really exist except as a corrupt entry in a Consignment register's inventory roster that will itself soon not exist. If there really is a bogus, useless object there I would hope that ErrorTrap finds it and cleans it out during one of its Correction routines. But you could look for it on the store lot with MC > Object Stats > Not Inventory (or maybe it should be Inventory?) after replacing the register and flush it if you find any.

I just tried replacing the register, and that didn't work either. I'm going to try looking for the object.

Well, it looks like you were right, Igazor--the object doesn't exist. There is no insect terrarium on the lot. I also reset all of the insects and insect terrariums in the town, besides replacing the register. No such luck.

It wouldn't exist in the world, the consignment system removes it. Try using MC to search for insect terrarium's that are not in inventory and flush them. Also I'd recommend getting rid of awesome or disabling the Show All Consignments feature. It's what's breaking and Consigner does the same thing with more error catching which Awesome is bypassing.

Here's a stupid question--by flush, you meant reset all the insect terrariums in the town, correct? Because that didn't work, unfortunately. It occurred to me that maybe you meant "delete," but I didn't see an option in the MC menu for deleting objects in the town, just for resetting them.

That's interesting about Awesome--I would prefer to keep Awesome, but I'll definitely try disabling Show All Consignments and see what happens.

Flush does mean delete.

NRaas > MC > Object Stats gives you an opportunity to Flush (force delete) the objects it finds by selecting them from the list presented.
