There were available before the old site shut down,so why not put them here again? I understand that they can take up space, but they shouldn't be too big. If that isn't an option then can someone at least upload all of them on a dropbox or mega?

I have no plans to add the old versions to the site. What's the reason you cannot use the super patcher to go to 1.67?

Honestly no reason. I just wanted to keep them for archival purposes in case the website (which looks awesome btw) goes down for a while. Couldn't you at least put them up somewhere else other than the site?

I think there is no reason for such concerns, I don't remember that the new nraas caught a long-term problem. Old patches are almost no one uses, so I don't understand why you need the old versions of mods, too.

Again, there's for archiving purposes. They have no use, but the same is for ancient math books. They're obsolete, but still mean something

Hi everyone,
I have to revive this thread because I am in sore need of the 1.57 patch versions of certain mods. Somehow, both my computers start to throw up a really annoying graphic problem when I try to install anything past 1.57 - it makes most of the trees on lots invisible in map view which is a really really ugly effect (trees in the world remain visible though, I have no clue why). So I've reinstalled all expansions and all patches once more up to 1.57 and intend to stay on this patch now. However, I don't have archives of all my older mod versions, unfortunately. Is there any chance you guys could help me out? I'd need the following for 1.57: Master Controller, MC Cheats, MC tuning; Register + tuning; Overwatch + tuning; Decensor; Traffic + tuning.
Sorry for being such a nuisance, I know I should just have archived all of them. Thing is though, I only found out about the tuning files last month, so those I couldn't have archived anyways ...
Greets!

If I remember correctly one of the later patches I think 1.63 had added a new setting in the Main Menu for that. Or it could also be that EA hidden them in Town View to reduce RAM usage as they became more and more aware of the games memory limitations.

Tiinii - May I ask please, is this a retail disc install or from some other source (which one)? Or might you be playing the Mac version of the game? It can't be Origin for Windows or Steam since those patch up to current levels upon install with no choices being given.

Our recommendation remains using EA's SuperPatcher (not the Launcher), assuming a disc or Mac install, to bring your game up to 1.67 so as to get EA's final rounds of bug fixes and the most recent versions of mods such as the ones from here. We can help you with the patch-related issues you are facing if you open a post specifically about them and as sittingbear is doing now. I am very sorry, but the older mod versions are no longer supported here and we will not be making them available for download. They were only available on the old site for as long as capacity permitted with a disclaimer to that effect and were meant to help players along while the patches from EA were still rolling out and mods from other sources were not necessarily keeping up with them as quickly as NRaas was.

Hi again, thanks sittingbear, I shall look for that setting. I can't remember seeing anything like that though. If it's true on the other hand that trees have been generally reduced in map, I shall definitely stick with 1.57.

Igazor, thanks also, I understand, no reason to be sorry! - My Sims version is the old retail disc, the one that doesn't require Origin. Windows version. All expansions are discs also. I've tried with the super patcher; actually, I did one test install where I installed the base game - trees in map view were fine - and then super patcher right on top, with no expansion or anything, and the trees still disappeared. If you guys do think you can help me with that, I'll gladly open a new thread, where shall I best put it?

The general Chatterbox board would be fine for this topic.

And it does sound like a pretty harsh trade-off, trees vs. being able to patch up properly. In my case the patching up would win out easily but one shouldn't have to make such a choice. I also agree that this might be happening intentionally, either through a reachable game option or in an attempt by the game to save on resources as map views are loading.
