I'm probably missing something really obvious, but I wondered if it was possible to disable the user profile pop up when scrolling down the list of topics? Often if I'm in say Chatterbox rather than open a thread, I'll hover over the title to get a preview of the first post. However when I do this I often get a pop up of the user's profile that overlays the post preview.

I hope I've explained myself clearly enough, I don't know the technical terms. If it makes any difference I'm using firefox.

I wish there were, or rather hope there is or could be in the future. Those pop-ups like most automated ones on websites drive me crazy. I've always assumed that I am too old-fashioned to appreciate more modern site design elements like this so I never said anything until now. But if you put your mouse back over the user name and move it quickly away again, the pop-up should disappear.

Thank you for the response igazor. I don't want to seem ungrateful as I know Chain_Reaction and all the organisers have worked incredibly hard on the site. It's just that I'm a bit hit an miss with my mouse movement so I always seem to hover over the wrong thing. I'll do as you suggest from now on, as previously I've just been waiting for them to go away.

Haven't ventured into custom user preferences as the ones there came with the board but when I do I'll keep this one in mind. I'd also like to give these a face lift. The blurry avatars bother me more than them popping up.
