Hi there,

I'm trying to create a Dresser Blacklist for all the CC. I tried to use the EASY CASP editor but it won't open (possible because it's outdated? I'm not sure).

I then tried to use the manual method (which I have done, many years ago), but when I clicked on this link, it says it's no longer available.

Can anybody advise me on where to go from here? I would really like townies not to have any crappy CC when they age up.

Thanks in advbance.

In the upper right corner click Upload and wait for the popup screen to fully load you should find it there.
And EasyCASP isn't outdated if you have patch 1.69 it won't work do to how EA changed game the installation structure.

In case the File Manager as described is not working for you, try this link.
download/NRaas_Dresser_InvalidParts.zip

Also, please do not post the same question on multiple sub-boards here (I've deleted the duplicate). That leads to multiple conversations on the same question and much confusion. If you do post something in the "wrong" place, an Organizer will move it for you. That's not such a big deal here. :)

Could somebody please update this guide to include images once again?

The advanced editing tools for this site are not quite all in place yet. A better formatted guide from our prior site can still be found through the Wayback Machine, and on my end I do see the illustrations. Hopefully this one is easier to follow.

Kindly do not insert instructions to improve things into the wiki pages directly, that's not really going to help at this stage.

Seemed like the fastest way to get the ball rolling :)

Also, when right-clicking on CAS items, it does not log any CAS parts. Is there a missing step here?

It was your request here that caught my attention. Without that, only our other members might have seen the message on the wiki page at least for a while.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound grumpy but I just spent what seemed like about 50 hours recently fixing up the top level FAQs and documentation pages on this, our new site, so that they are more readable again and am a bit burned out on that project. Some of the guides deeper in have to wait to get fixed up as well until we have more tools and a better handle on how to use them, so it's best to use the Wayback archives where possible until we can accomplish that somehow.

On the right-click question, are you certain that you are in the MC version of CAS and not EA's? To get into MC's CAS, you need to access it through an actual MC command (like MC's Stylist or Sim > Advanced > Edit in CAS) or else have MC Integration in play and have run the game clock forward since loading up the current session. EA's version of CAS won't honor MC commands because it doesn't know anything about them.

To tell for sure which version of CAS you are in, right-click on the "..." button in the lower left corner that usually leads to Game Options and Save, Quit, etc. If you are in MC's version of CAS, you will get an MC Options window popping up. If you are in EA's version, nothing will happen on a right-click there.

Hey no problem. Thanks for your help here. And thanks for keeping the wiki/help section going for these mods. I'm happily surprised by the immediate support that's still here!

Something I just thought of before I continue: is it possible to simply disable CC through the Dresser Mod? Right now I have it set so that sims in my town can only dress from the base game, university and island paradise expansions. I don't see any option to disable CC in any of the InvalidProductVersions, so I assume it isn't?

You're right. I was using the regular CAS and didn't realise it needed to be accessed by the MasterController menu. Thanks for that!

Each piece of CC is a completely different product it would next to impossible to account for all it.
