Hi,

Just wondering if dumping the story log will delete all the progress the inactive sims have made in my town? I have 10,000 stories stored in the log and want to clean it up a bit.

Log files in general are program output only, they aren't used for anything programmatically after they are produced. Dumping these will have absolutely no impact on the game or its sims.
