So, I am trying to get more than 8 sims per household. I found a list of mods I would need, one of them made my game crash, got the superpatch updater so that is fixed bu now my sim portraits and mood symbols are really weird and I can't actually play. I can't quite describe the issue, so I posted a screenshot. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it? switching households doesn't work, neither does repairing the game or restarting the computer. Thank you.

Oh, in case this is relevant I am running a Windows 10 HP. Current expansion and stuff packs I have installed are:
late night
world adventures
supernatural
high end loft stuff
pets
ambitions
seasons
showtime
late night
island paradiseImage

Hi there. "Repairing the game" suggests that you are using Origin to control the game and are (or were) therefore on Patch 1.69. Using the SuperPatcher on top of that to downpatch your game to 1.67 will break the install. I'm afraid there is no fix for this except to uninstall everything, clean the Windows registry, and try again.

The SuperPatcher is only for all disc installs where Origin is not involved to bring them up to 1.67 from a lower level or to reapply the 1.67 patch. It cannot be used to downpatch from 1.69.

Oh. Thank you. I had thought that the game was not updated, even though the launcher said it was and the superpatcher was supposed to fix that.Time to start reinstalling, I guess. Thanks again.

And yes I am using Origin to control the game because I don't seem to have a choice. It's actually really annoying.

If you are installing through Origin the game will be installed fully updated to 1.69. No need to use the superpatcher.

I uninstalled everything, cleaned the registry and reinstalled everything. When I re-downloaded mods, the game did not crash this time but the portrait issue from the screenshot is still here. What should I do now?

Is this a freshly generated, started from scratch TS3 user game folder in Documents or are you reusing the prior one from the previous install?

Does the game work properly with no mods at all? Any non-NRaas mods from other sources in play?

This is a fresh game folder. it works fine without any mods. There are other mods installed, but the issue was not resolved when I removed them.

And this is a new game you are testing each time, not an ongoing save brought forward from before?

I'm sorry we haven't been able to pinpoint the problem yet. But if a new game on a freshly spawned no-content added game folder works fine only until mods are added, then I would say you need to start over with another new game folder and add NRaas mods only, a couple at a time and clearing the five top level cache files with each addition, until the issue reappears.

What other kinds of mods are you working with, is it possible any of them are outdated/not meant for current patch levels?

Can we get some specs on this computer in addition to Win 10 -- processor, RAM, graphics card, hard drive space?

Here is a screenshot of the specs. What are the five top level cache files and how do I clear them? Thanks again.Image
