I'm trying to use overwatch but when I downloaded it into my game it ended up freezing every sim in the entire world and I still can't use the mod. I'm not sure what I've done wrong? Also the screen will be very zoomed in and I cant turn the way im looking at everyone cus it'll move very slowly. I can't change what sim I'm on either. This is also something I've noticed:

I have no other mods installed and the only expansion packs I have downloaded right now are seasons and late night.

Hi there.

There may be a step missing there, or you perform this one so routinely that it didn't get mentioned. After adding Overwatch to the Mods\Packages folder, the scriptCache.package file (it will show up as just scriptCache if file name extensions are hidden by the operating system but it's the same file) at the top level of the TS3 user game folder in Documents needs to be deleted. The cache file will respawn on the next attempted startup.

Of course this is not the general user experience with NRaas mods. What patch level is your game on and what kind of install source does it have -- Origin, Steam, retail store discs, some other source (which one)? Is your Mods folder in the TS3 user game folder in Documents or some other location and do the two sample mods that come with the typically recommended downloadable Framework function properly? Is the required Resource.cfg file from this source or from someplace else where it might be outdated?

Hi,

I know this thread is a little old, sorry, but I'm having exactly the same issue. I deleted the cache files after adding overwatch and still had the same issue as OP. My game is on discs (currently have ambitions-pets installed), the mods in the link work fine for me and my mods folder and all that is definitely in the right place, and as well I have the resource.cfg that's linked. Really confused!

kirbayy, what patch level is your game on? Origin (on Windows) and Steam patch the users' games up to 1.69 and 1.67 respectively with no choices given or questions asked. Those on disc installs that are NOT controlled by Origin should use the SuperPatcher to bring their game up to 1.67 before trying to use mods designed for the current two levels like Overwatch is. The EP installs themselves won't get you all the way there and patching by way of the Launcher often enough does an incomplete job but still reports success.

The SuperPatcher is a huge download but it's easy to run once you have it.
