I have a sim who is a gardener, with a fairly small lot. There isn't enough room to place the sprinklers between the walls of his house and the edge of the lot. Does anyone know where I may be able to get a sprinkler with a narrower range?
thanks

Moveobjects on - quite a good cheat for such situations.

I'm not really sure, I don't know what the actual distance between the walls of and the edge of the lot. So in the worst case, the puddle will crawl inside your house. Maybe it would be better to do the reconstruction of the yard.

Or just add watering to your sims list of things to do. My sims do this autonomously when the plants need to be watered. Often before they even show they are wilted. I only use the sprinklers for larger gardens, if it's a small garden I leave it to them to take care of, or if they get lax in their duties I just instruct them to tend the garden. :) It does take a lot of time however, so I get wanting sprinklers.

JohnL83, who knows, maybe sheridanhoughton has a whole plantation on his home lot. Sometimes it can take half a day to take care of the garden, even with the Relativity settings. I would advise to try the mod on adding a gardener, but it would be categorically wrong. I've never tested it myself. What a pity that gardening isn't a butler's job.

I do have a large garden, and it takes my sim most of the day to tend to it. With the sprinklers it should cut the time down a lot. As the plants die off, I will just keep the best of each type, but until then I am stuck with veggies and fruit trees all over the place.

thanks again.

The sprinklers have cut down his gardening time a lot, and you will be happy to know there are no puddles inside the house. Of course, there may yet develop mould on the walls, rising damp, toadstools inside, and maybe death watch beetle. Who knows.

thanks for all your help.
