I know that assigning a job to a homeless character is impossible because the MC just won't let the player do it (I remember, during the use of the oldest version of this mod I had a error on a dark-blue background, I think that's why this action was forbidden to players). However I'm still wondering why. Why the game can automatically do this, but I don't? It's not fair. Do I must to move all necessary sims to real houses in the town to do this? Or maybe I'm missing something?

Doesn't look like it's blocked on homeless Sims just Sims that aren't currently in the world. I'm sure twallan had a good reason for that but I couldn't tell you why.

Yes, you are absolutely right, that to assign them a job, I definitely need to lure them to the town. I've already found a relatively quick way to do it. I think it's okay that I need to make a few more clicks. It's much better than moving them.
